Oh yeah no doubt about my gear.
And yeah for the past 5 weeks or so I've been living like a powerlifter instead of a bodybuilder. Seems like my body is really responding well to the change.
Not only have I put on 15lbs but my strength is climbing really fast.
Tomorrow is my 4 year anniversary, need to gain 1lb 3oz to make it an even 70lbs in 4 years. So I'm going to take some time and get some good pictures.
Finally post my before and after pictures on Facebook... I'm a lot more nervous than I probably should be.
I don't mind posting my before and after pictures on places like this where people can appreciate the work and possibly use it for motivation. But on the Internet... Every asshole and armchair powerlifter has an opinion.
Not to mention my before picture still has a lot of negative thoughts wrapped up in it.
But at the same time I feel like making that picture public... It's like I can finally close that chapter of my life.
Like... Here I was at my worst, but this is who I am now.

Your boy over here looking thick!!!

Brother you look great. No need to be nervous . Look at where you are now ,and where you were before. Shit that in itself is an accomplishment . On top of that you are disciplined enough to physically get to this status. Gear is not a magic pill that people think it is .You have to work out hard ,very hard.you have to eat well, rest and do it over and over for a long fucken time ,years and years . An average guy doesn't have what it takes to go the distance. There will be haters everywhere, fuck em. At the end of the day when you lay your head down and you know you did the best you could, you will go to sleep with no problem .While the haters will be stewing in their shit because they are miserable and hate who they are . Thats why they put others down. Post your stuff ,we need more success stories in this world.

I agree 100% with everything you said!!!
And that's why I love being in such good shape... It's the one thing someone can't give you or buy. You have to put in the work (gear or not) and I think that's why I get so much attention in public. if it's an 16yo highschool kid, 80yo old vet, 45yo businessman in a suit... They all give me a nod and most want to start a conversation with me. Lots of people are naturally skinny, lots of people have a shit ton of money they didn't work for, some people are just born beautiful. But no one just gets jacked without putting in the work. So that by itself demands a certain amount of respect. I'm shown that respect almost every time I leave the house. people will say sorry to me for absolutely no reason... For getting too close or stepping in front of me (but still pretty far away) while I'm looking at something in the isle. I swear I hear "I'm sorry" 20x a day. It's to the point where my girl laughs and says "another one" in her best DJ Khaled impression every time someone says it. I also have people running to open doors for me, people letting skip in line, I've even got free drinks and appetizers at restaurants because of the wait staff talking to me about fitness and appreciating my input and appearance.

It's funny because I get absolutely no hate in public... Nothing but love, respect and a healthy level of fear. But online... People say wild shit. And I know it's because they feel safe behind their keyboard and far away from me.
I always wonder if it's the same type of guys who are talking shit online are the same ones that will see me walking to the door and literally jog ahead of me to open the door for me.

I guess I'm still just a little... Sensitive about who I used to be and how I used to look. There's a lot of depression and self loathing in that first picture. But... In the second picture 😁 I'm king dick and meer mortals should be lucky to breathe my air! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Of course I'm exaggerating... I'm just trying to show the difference in confidence and ego between the 2 people.

prepare for "steroids" comments. in my experience way too many think that taking steroids automatically makes you huge.

Yeah I know lots of people have their suspicions... But gear is like having a finger in your ass during sex. It's for everyone... But not everyone wants to do it... Or admit they do it

great. that's actually impressive. what about bench press PR? I mean, I know you'd probably do more but since you train alone you shouldn't risk it

My current PRS are
Bench 237lb for 2.
Deadlift 367lb for one
Squat 217 for 8 (I had more but the bar started slipping down my back)
My girl will spot me on bench if needed. She's actually really good at it, I have a video of her lifting off and spotting me on my ticktock and Facebook.
Today is squats... Debating on trying for a new PR or not. Feeling good and strong.

And let's add some positivity back really quick.. just reminding everyone that my life is still going fuckin great. My girl and I are getting along crazy well. She started lifting with me. And she is looking... I mean.. gawd damn!
She's 39, 5'5 and 147lbs. When she went to the doctors 2 weeks back they asked her weight. She said 147lb (we have a fancy Bluetooth scale) and the nurse looked her up and down and straight up said "147 where?" 🤣😂.
My girl was like "I have big legs and I'm very dense" the nurse said well let's just double check. And sure as shit 147lbs. The nurse who was about her height, give or take an inch said "I can't believe we're 3lbs apart" she was definitely on the.... Um... Fluffy side.

But yeah her body has really transformed, her ass is picking up, traps shoulders and arms growing. And her strength is climbing like crazy.
She really made lifting exciting for me again. Watching her change (not that she really needed it) and get stronger and stronger is just fuckin awesome.
November her deadlift max was 217 and she struggled and almost dropped it.
The other day she did it for a fucking speed rep. Then crushed a 237lb deadlift.
She really wants a 2x her body weight deadlift PR. Apparently only like 5% of women can pick up twice their bodyweight.

Ok going to try a new bench PR tomorrow afternoon. But more importantly my girl is going for her first one rep max on bench.. ever! She's pretty strong for a chick. But benching is new to her and benching anything over 65lbs will be brand new.
If she hits 100lbs I'll be really impressed... Might even start listening when she tells me to do the dishes
