We have another member who's a bit older than you and still competes. @loren
You 2 are definitely motivation for us younger guys! If I look half that good in 20 years... hell I don't look half that good now 🤣🤣🤣

are you in calorie deficit for a year now?
Not at all. The way I do things is I drop to a calories deficit the first 4 months then I add one meal or shake. A few months later I add another meal or shake. At that point my metabolism is on fire and I continue to lose body fat while simultaneously growing. My calories are 3,600 - 4,300 daily, depending on if I have 6 or 7 meals/shakes. I weigh between 192-197Lbs depending on how much water I’m holding intracellularly.
The process of dropping weight switched into gaining muscle while leaning out when I added HGH. I started with 3ius daily, 6 months ago, and now I’m up to 8ius daily. I split the dose into 3 shots, once fasted upon waking, once immediately post workout, and once before bed. My AAS regiment is the following injects everyday: 60mg test prop, 35mg NPP, 15mg masteron prop. Occasionally I use anavar and turinabol preworkout but only a few days a week and I cycle off orals monthly equal time off. I never eat cheat meal. I had one cheat meal in the past 46 days and I paid the price. I have degenerative disk disease meaning very little space between my spinal disks. When I eat cheat food the systemic inflammation in my body causes me incredible pain in my spine and down my sciatic nerve for a full week.

omg. it sounds like some allergies?! have you addressed it to a doc?
It’s because I haven’t eaten normal people food in a year. When I have a bunch of sugar and carbs I’m sure my pancreas freaks out. My blood pressure goes through the roof. I forgot to mention why I started this diet a year ago. I ate like a normal person for 4 months and I got big and loved the strength but my blood pressure was 175/125. I have had high blood pressure for 25 years and the only drugs that work are what I take now which is a 3rd generation beta blocker (5mg nebivolol), and Cialis. My good friend recently died from prolonged hypertension which destroyed his kidneys and caused cardiac arrest while in the dialysis center. This is why I started dieting very strict. It helped me drop from 234Lb to the mid 190’s. My blood pressure still varies: 130/80 sometimes, and 140’s over 90’s sometimes. I do the best I can. If I dropped all anabolics it would be normal but I tried that for 9 months and I was miserable. I love looking this way. Longevity is in my DNA fortunately. My grandma is 99 on one side. On the other side my great grandma lived to 105.

I'd rather be happy for a short time than miserable for a long time! We all know the risks when we started this journey. Best we can do is control the side effects the best we can.
You definitely have found a nice balance of looking good and living long.
I wish I had the discipline to live by such a strict diet.
My diet is still the worst part of my program. It's not that I eat bad food, I just don't eat enough good food. I'm more than comfortable eating 1,500 calories a day. So when I double that and try to bulk, it's more hard work than lifting the weights... or the very... very little of "cardio" I do.

I hear that. I feel healthiest on low calories. Eating all the time gives me gas all the time. The bodybuilder’s curse. 💨

I do my best to eat 3,500 calories a day during a bulk. Some days I'm able to choke down 4,000. But if I do that too many days in a row I'll throw up in my sleep.
But I feel ya on the gas part... during my last cycle I was showering with my girl... anyway I let one slip. Didn't mean it, couldn't prevent it... I thought I killed her 🤣🤣. I felt so bad but couldn't stop laughing.

Hahahaha show her this:(lots of literature in the benefits)
“Recent research in animals suggests that hydrogen sulfide — one of the major components of smelly gas, the one that gives it that “rotten egg” smell — might provide some health benefits in humans, from preventing heart disease to kidney failure.”

I didn’t make it to the grocery store so I just ate 10 egg whites with salsa and 7 rice cakes. I popped another Cialis. Today is an off day but I’m going to train chest for my mental well being. I need to relieve this stress. I’ll just wing the entire workout. Go with the flow. Be like water like Bruce Lee says.

CHEST:

  • 4 sets of push-ups with feet elevated on the bed for upper chest, 16-18 reps each.
  • 4 sets of band/cable crossovers with hands going downward for lower/inner chest.
  • 3 sets of push-ups with very wide spacing for 10 reps followed by hands wide spacing for 4 reps followed by shoulder width hands for 2 reps followed by hands just inside shoulder width spacing for 2 reps.
  • 3 sets band/cable crossovers with hands going upward at shoulder height for upper/inner chest followed by hands going mid position for middle/inner chest.
I’m getting a real good chest pump!

I guess the 40mg Cialis is doing it’s job:

I didn't know cialis would give you a pump like that... but now that I think about it makes perfect sense.
Although the people at the gym might have a problem with the other pump it causes 🤣🤣.

I keep hearing everyone saying they eat rice cakes. Apparently they are a great snack for bodybuilders. But the last time I ate a rice cake... it was the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth.... and I'm the kinda guy who eats 🍑 on the first date... so that's really saying something.
I guess I'll have to get some and try again

Haha after a year of eating my nasty cooking they taste incredible! 😀
It better to eat steamed basmati rice. I just didn’t want to deal with the rice cooker today. Rice cakes have too much sodium.

That's incredible similar to my bicep tricep workout
I try to do as much volume and super sets as possible. I hate waiting in between sets
