PCP and GI doctor who is an expert in Liver disease: LiverCare vs Liv 52

Hello,

My Primary Care Physician is also a GI and an expert in Liver protection.  I do not hide anything from him and

although he does not approve my cycling, he told me there is one product I must take.  Its called LiverCare by

Himalaya.  Why this over Liv 52?  He told me that Liv 52 does not help the body help itself in regenerating

Liver cells, which get killed during a cycle.  Now, Live 52 will protect you from Liver damage, but according to

him, no matter what you take, the amount of steroids we take in a cycle is going to kill liver cells no matter

what you use.  Thus, with LiverCare you get the same or better protection than Liv 52, but it does a way

better job in helping the body help itself regenerate cells, which Live 52 lacks.  Now, it can grow cells,

but ultimately, you want a supplement that does not directly do something for your body, but instead

gets you body to do it for itself.  So lets say product X grows muscle.  Then you have product Y that

sets you body up so it creates muscle indirectly by itself.  What product do you want? Product Y.  This

is a hard concept to explain, so any questions are welcome.  And just so you know, this is one persons

opinion.  My doctor.  Yes, he is a liver specialist, but any good student knows to question everything.

So don't take the above as some Golden Truth/Rule.  This is my 2 cents.

Cheers, Bill

Good info cmumiami, thanks for your contribution to the forums. It is always good to hear a doctors take on certain supplements since there is so much bogus marketing out there. My doctor goes straight to the back of the bottle and looks for the FDA approvial statement but often comments that it does not always validate a product. Who knows right ?

i have that same bottle i am currently using.  both products are from the same company.  and i also do have about 5 bottles of liv52 DS , (double strength).  i have used both.  i have not had any blood work while using livercare but i have had blood work done with liv52 and that has lowered my liver values back to normal levels.  i will try to post up a brand new set of bloods once i find a job, hopefully just after i finish up my ostarine cycle, to see what effects it will have on my profile, which i think would be extremely beneficial to someone who might want to potentialy run this compound, well at least in capsule form.

fda aproval means absolutely nothing anymore.  if it works and will cure a dissease for good , it wont be approved.  why?  because there's no money in it.

I totally agree, it's a $$ thing for sure. Anyone taking statins for high cholesterol should read a book called "The Cholestrol myth" which is a prime example of how money driven  the FDA and pharma companies really are.
