I can speak from personal experience....i was on Wegovy for about a year and a half. I injured my back and was out for the count for a 1yr and half. I gained a crazy amount of weight from not being able to do anything beyond physical therapy. The side effects are brutal at the weight loss doses 2.4mg/ML. When they put me on it i weighed 297 i got down to 232. My doctor switched me to zepbound about 2 months ago as it is more effective at lower doses and has less side effects, we are still figuring out the dosing but currently on the 10mg/1Ml and its been a much smoother ride. I have a metabloic deficiancy so diet and excercise alone the best weight I could maintain was 245ish. I do not reccomend if your just looking to shed a few pounds. The side effects are awful until you adjust and GLP1s are forever drugs, there is no sustainable way off of them as of now. For those considering, Diet is essential, focusing on protein. This stuff eats your muscle just as much your fat. Carbs must be kept to a minimum or you will pay a price praying to the porcelain god. Also timing....you must give your meals time to digest before laying down, a minimum of 3 hrs. Also if your a fitness enthusiast your going to have to cater your supplements to the insane rate you are going to drop weight. I found the best success with multi protein blends and lean protein. Fiber is difficult because of how slow your digestive system now works, a mutlivitamin and probiotics go a long way. There is a side effect that words cannot describe, a nasuea unlike anything i have ever experienced, long hot steam showers, heating pad on the stomach and bitters are all i can say! Hope this helps
