I generally use a sharps container but the milk jug idea will save me $5-7 every two months or so.

You can also take a large coffee can, duct tape the lid onto it, cut an X in the lid, and use that as well. Just tape over the X when you're ready to dispose of it.

 

Since I am getting ready to start my cycle I dont know why but keep thinking about this topic. Maybe it is because what I do for a profession and it is something I think if we are going to pin gear we need to be responsible about the used sharps.

 I LOVE Dolf's suggestion for a coffee can but I get my coffee from a bag. So this morning I started doing a load of laundry and used the last of the fabric softener..boom there is my sharp container.  Perfect container for used sharps. Thick plastic..small top with a screw on lid and plus it smells fresh and clean LOL. Thought I would throw this out there for ya all!
