Great question and I am happy Sharon has a plan in place.

Having a handle on your diet is the best means but even with that many of us still will face water retention issues. 

Sharon, with your current digestive makeup I would NOT recommend spironoctane especially if your surgery consisted of the R Y procedure vs. the band. Spiro can cause stomach ulcers and lesions just like ibuprofen and/or aspirin. I am 253% positive that Burr was being helpful but simply unaware of the can(s) and can't(s) of bariatric patients.

I am pretty certain, knowing you, you have a solid plan already in place but you may want to consider a natural diuretic if you have not already done so.
