Looking for Advice

I am an athlete that competes in the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I used to be into Powerlifting before I ever got started. I was in great shape and was strong as hell however it was always hard for me to put on mass. This led me to trying AAS, I got myself some Anavar and ran it for 6 weeks and felt a pretty decent increase in strength. After doing much more research and realizing that if I was going to go use AAS I should just go ahead and do it properly. I was worried about recovery and dealing with sides so I decided to stick with short esters. I did a cycle of test prop and Var again for 6 weeks. It was much better but the PIP was terrible. pct was Nolva only, 2 weeks. 
I did a third cycle of test prop and equipoise (i used this mostly to cut the prop in an attempt to reduce PIP) This worked like a charm I ran this for 10 weeks and gained a solid 12 pounds lean while training Jiu Jitsu and lifting only 2 times a week.

As you can see I have mostly just done whatever I thought might work for me without really consulting anyone. I haven't really wanted to bulk up too much as I compete in a weight class. This past year has been tough with school and work etc. Training has suffered and I have lost a decent amount of muscle. I have always tried to stay within my weight class so never really wanted to bulk up that much. 

Now I really want to get back into competition shape and probably move up 1 weigh class. I'm looking to put on anywhere between 10-15 pounds that I can keep. My idea is that I will just bite the bullet and go with a long ester test. I plan to run 500mg a week of Test Enanthate for 10 weeks.

I was wondering if I could get some input from anyone, are my goals realistic? Is this the best choice of compound or should I add something else with the Test? I would like to stay as lean as possible and not have my cardio effected as this would reduce my ability to train hard at my Jiu Jitsu academy.

our goal is very realistic . I would run the test e for 12,week tho.. Also before this do some research .. What is hour ai going to be ?? Adex or aro .   also pct . look at some in cycle logs ... Nov and clomy I tell you that much . I hope you made a propped intro??? And do some research and post in cycle logs

your not "biting the bullet" by choosing a long ester, you are actually choosing the right way to go about a proper cycle where you can make some substancial gains that will stick around after the pinning stops! Like Sieg^ said look through the cycle logs and the threads about first cycles and what they look like with?without an oral kickstarter. Also did you use an AI in those other runs you did? I would def go atleast 12 weeks also, I came to this site with quite a bit of misinformation and the info and the good friends have helped me to run a so far successful first test e cycle myself, so I know where your at. Keep asking questions and being active bro!!

Eating enough calories and protein intake is gonna dictate how much weight you keep. 

What are your stats, and how many calories do you eat per day?

The plan you have is great because its simple and it will work .  However IMO to answer your question , the best compound for gaining and keeping what you gain is primo. If you are already kind of lean and run a test E/ Primo E cycle for 16 weeks, you will keep that 10 lbs of lean muscle gain for a very long time. The side effects from primo are virtually non existent and the subtle slow lean gains are like no other as far as staying with you after you come off .
