Quick question re trt and cycle

Sorry for the nooby questions but i’m new to this.
im 44 years old, out of shape, low libido and all of the classic symptoms for low-t. Was tested and am low-t so my dr has placed me on trt.

I want to get back into shape with a beginner test cycle and include proviron for my libido issues.
My dr has me on 300ml/wk test-p for trt. He is going to recheck my labs in 6 months. If I increase my dose to 500ml/wk and stack with proviron, when should I discontinue the 500ml and proviron and pct?
is pct even necessary with this stack?
also would I discontinue test-p completely during the pct or should I drop back down to the 300ml?

also, is that a recommended stack for what my goals are?

thanks in advance for any help!

Let the TRT kick in & in 6 months decide. You have to give the TRT time to work. I would wait six months and see what your Bloods are... I'm surprised you have a doctor giving you 300 mg that seems a little high. Anyway, don't mess that up..Down the road..only then I would just add an oral twice a year(every six months) for 4-5 weeks!

Wow, thats interesting. Im 40yrs and on TRT as well. All health providers are different, but the chose of T and dose you were given are interesting (many prefer Test-C for once weekly or even once every 2 week injections). Either way, if you want to keep your prescription where it is, keep in mind they want to see a modest increase in free/total T on your lab work. If you increase your dose and stack on your own, your T levels on your follow up labs will be way higher than therapeutic range and they will absolutely lower your prescription dose. Try to start your "extras" immediately after your labs are drawn, and maybe "forget" your T injection a week before labs.

That is awesome that they gave you 300 a week! Id keep it that way for as long as you can for sure! Bro, TRUST ME, if this is your first time doing Test injections then do not raise it to 500 a week. keep it at 300 a week like the doctor says and i PROMISE you will see incredible results.I think Proviron wouldnt hurt at all. It should increase your FREE Testosterone and brush away SHBG. I suppose you could do an oral other than proviron but if this is truly your first cycle then I wouldnt. just do your 300 test p a week and go back to the doctor in 6 months like he wants. then after that, maybe if you want add another compound. I need to find your doctor or a doctor like yours, 300 a week from a doctor so so dope!

The highest start with Test-C I know is 200m/wk. 300mg/wk is pretty awesome! Just make sure you have time for your levels to come down bf your next draw. Don't want to ruin a good thing.

Ive always recommended guys, especially in the late 30's and older, whether they are working out or not to take some type, any type of Test. The male body needs it to function. We here so much about females and menopause. Well, us guys get out version of it to. Were just not as bitchy....lol

They want your labs 3 days after injection because thats the peak. I gave it almost 14 days and was able to have my prescription increased. I ended up here because a buddy told me to increase my dose to 200mg/wk and gave me 50 proviron. The changes from that were incredible. Waiting until after my next draw to start "real" cycle. Are you seeing HRT specialist? Urologist? General Practitioner?

Urologist. Yeah i’m doing 50 proviron too and I love it. my libido is through the roof. I don’t know if it’s a matter of being week 5 or 6 on test and it’s just starting to work or if it’s the proviron.

regarding my test being at 300/wk, he started me at 100 then bumped me up to 200 after taking my labs. I purposely waited a little longer to do my labs the 2nd time and as a result he bumped me up to 300 at this last visit.

Due to the Covid-19 mess that’s going on, he set my follow up appointment 6 months out.

so I am wondering if I am taking proviron and 300-500 test, how long before the 6 month follow up appointment should I cut it back down to just the 300/WK test and no proviron for my levels to come back down?

Thats a question better for the experts here. I only increased my testosterone dose until I ran out of Proviron, then back to my normal therapeutic dose to let my body recover. Took about 5-6wks on the TRT for me to really start feeling all the positive effects.

I would cut orals 2 months out & taper back down to 300/250/200/150 the last month & go in missing a week of shots to get your levels lower!
