New squat PR
353lb. It still felt kinda easy... I know I have a lot more. Just trying to be smart and take small jumps. I realized after I needed to drop the rack one notch lower and really didn't feel like redoing everything...
Plus I really don't want to get hurt. So
I'm happy taking small jumps for now.
But I have 2 spotters now so that adds a whole extra layer of confidence... Plus the new rack is fuckin sweet. My old rack weighs a total of 30lbs... 2 individual 15lb stands. After using this 140lb 11G Steele York rack my old one feels like it's made out of aluminum foil. I can't believe I put over 300lbs on it. Looking back that was not smart.
Also found a 7ft standard barbell rated for 350lbs. Going to get that and make that my new squat bar and use my current 7ft 300lb rated one as my benching bar. Probably keep my cheap 5ft... No idea what the rating is for my deadlift bar. If I'm going to bend one .. I'll bend the $15 one from Craigslist.
Even though I've put 437lb on it and it's still straight.
My brother is trying his maxes out. .so far 127lb bench, 177lb squat and Wednesday he'll be going for deadlift.
He wants to hit 160lb bodyweight by his birthday (141lbs now) a 150lb bench, 225lb squat and double bodyweight deadlift. I think it's possible... Even without the
