Hey Guys
I’m booked in to give blood next week. I’m doing it for the greater good of man but also to maybe keep any blood thickening at bay.
They have asked if I’d consider giving plasma instead of blood as our local hospital is low on plasma.
I’m assuming to get the plasma they first take blood and then put that blood in a centrifuge to separate the plasma meaning that I would still get the benefits. But the fact that they asked makes me wonder if there’s a different method and maybe just donating blood is the better option.
Can any of you wise men educate me on this?
