Helo fellow MGers ive been pondering this for a little bit, and couldn't find any scientific studies or documents on it, and was wondering what you guys think about it. For those of you that don't know what polyphasic sleeping is it sleeping for only 2 hours out of the day giving you more hours of activity. I read an article that if you live to be 75 you sleep for about 23 years of your life. To me that's a scary statistic. We are only given one life and I want to live it up the most I can. The sleep schedule I'm going to try and follow is called the Dymaxion Sleep schedule and that is comprised of 4 30 minute naps spaces throughout the day every 5.5 hours. But what mystifies me is if you were to run a cycle of steroids would your body still grow granted you could eat more in a day, for nutrients and protein but only be sleeping for 4 30 minute periods a day. It seems counterproductive but people that have successfully tried and coverted to this sleeping schedule say they are well rested to go on with there day. So even though its not the normal 8 hours of sleep needed to let your body recover is it possible to grow on a cycle sleeping like this if people claim to feel better rested than they do when they sleep 8 hours? Or would you think this is a sleeping schedule for mostly mental health and acuity? Just trying to gather some insight and hear how others feel about this topic!
