I used to compete but these days I just do it for the challenge of trying to keep the improvements coming.Looking lean AF brother! You competing?
Thank youDude at 54.. you definitely beat the challenge!
We have another member who's a bit older than you and still competes. @loren
You 2 are definitely motivation for us younger guys! If I look half that good in 20 years... hell I don't look half that good now
Not at all. The way I do things is I drop to a calories deficit the first 4 months then I add one meal or shake. A few months later I add another meal or shake. At that point my metabolism is on fire and I continue to lose body fat while simultaneously growing. My calories are 3,600 - 4,300 daily, depending on if I have 6 or 7 meals/shakes. I weigh between 192-197Lbs depending on how much water I’m holding intracellularly.are you in calorie deficit for a year now?
omg. it sounds like some allergies?! have you addressed it to a doc? When I eat cheat food the systemic inflammation in my body causes me incredible pain in my spine and down my sciatic nerve for a full week.
It’s because I haven’t eaten normal people food in a year. When I have a bunch of sugar and carbs I’m sure my pancreas freaks out. My blood pressure goes through the roof. I forgot to mention why I started this diet a year ago. I ate like a normal person for 4 months and I got big and loved the strength but my blood pressure was 175/125. I have had high blood pressure for 25 years and the only drugs that work are what I take now which is a 3rd generation beta blocker (5mg nebivolol), and Cialis. My good friend recently died from prolonged hypertension which destroyed his kidneys and caused cardiac arrest while in the dialysis center. This is why I started dieting very strict. It helped me drop from 234Lb to the mid 190’s. My blood pressure still varies: 130/80 sometimes, and 140’s over 90’s sometimes. I do the best I can. If I dropped all anabolics it would be normal but I tried that for 9 months and I was miserable. I love looking this way. Longevity is in my DNA fortunately. My grandma is 99 on one side. On the other side my great grandma lived to 105.omg. it sounds like some allergies?! have you addressed it to a doc?
I'd rather be happy for a short time than miserable for a long time! We all know the risks when we started this journey. I hear that. I feel healthiest on low calories. Eating all the time gives me gas all the time. The bodybuilder’s curse.I'd rather be happy for a short time than miserable for a long time! We all know the risks when we started this journey. Best we can do is control the side effects the best we can.
You definitely have found a nice balance of looking good and living long.
I wish I had the discipline to live by such a strict diet.
My diet is still the worst part of my program. It's not that I eat bad food, I just don't eat enough good food. I'm more than comfortable eating 1,500 calories a day. So when I double that and try to bulk, it's more hard work than lifting the weights... or the very... very little of "cardio" I do.
I do my best to eat 3,500 calories a day during a bulk. Some days I'm able to choke down 4,000. But if I do that too many days in a row I'll throw up in my sleep.I hear that. I feel healthiest on low calories. Eating all the time gives me gas all the time. The bodybuilder’s curse.
Hahahaha show her thislots of literature in the benefits)I do my best to eat 3,500 calories a day during a bulk. Some days I'm able to choke down 4,000. But if I do that too many days in a row I'll throw up in my sleep.
But I feel ya on the gas part... during my last cycle I was showering with my girl... anyway I let one slip. Didn't mean it, couldn't prevent it... I thought I killed her . I felt so bad but couldn't stop laughing.
Haha after a year of eating my nasty cooking they taste incredible!I didn't know cialis would give you a pump like that... but now that I think about it makes perfect sense.
Although the people at the gym might have a problem with the other pump it causes .
I keep hearing everyone saying they eat rice cakes. Apparently they are a great snack for bodybuilders. But the last time I ate a rice cake... it was the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth.... and I'm the kinda guy who eats on the first date... so that's really saying something.
I guess I'll have to get some and try again
