Who cares enjoy your discounts lmao the most expensive part of being a gear head
.... it doesn't drive me as crazy as it used to. Ever since everything is through your phone number and the coupons are automatically deducted... I'm fine.
But... back in the day... waiting to cash out and you're stuck behind some woman with a stack of paper coupons... the minutes are ticking by as she's searching for that coupon so she can save $0.35 on a can of Spam... the rage I would feel... I always said I'll never be that person. Id rather pay double than be that person holding the line up.
But even still... she'll drive me crazy... she'll only buy xyz from Hannaford because it's a few bucks cheaper than at Walmart. But she'll only buy xyz from Walmart because it's cheaper than Hannaford.
So we have to plan and ping pong back and forth.
But the thing we can't seem to agree with is Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
On one hand... I get it.
A pint is almost $5 while I can get a gallon of other brands for less. I get that part... but.. one reason why I get it is because I like it more... I'm an adult who works... a lot so if I want to pay a little extra for exactly what I want.. that's what I'll do.
But the second reason... and this is the big one... the kids and her will eat the gallon of ice cream in a few days. So by the time I go to get it again... it's gone... and of course they can't fuckin tell me they ate the last of it. So if I'm in the mood for ice cream and it's not there... I'm not happy.
But when I buy the B&J everyone knows not to fuckin touch it! So I'm paying for the peace of mind that's it's going to be there when I want it.
